On Tuesday 16th September, the Year 5/6 children experienced a trip to our local park. We walked to the park to complete our Integrated Studies topic. We were able to locate some of the organisations that we can access in our area.
When we arrived at the park, we were amazed at how much there was to do. There was endless meters of grass for us to run around on. There was a MASSIVE adventure playground with numerous slides and…. a SANDPIT!!
We had fun playing on the adventure playground, swinging on the swings, flying on the flying fox, making things in the sandpit, playing football and soccer, flying vortex’s around and playing with a large parachute.
Mrs Medina also planned a cooperative activity for us to do in groups. We had to work together to get our groups of 6-8 our of being tangled. It wasn’t as easier and it sounded!!

Last week, the 5/6 children were visited by two members of the local Health Centre.
These two visitors gave us lots of information about Oral/Dental Health and they spoke to us about how important it is to regularly brush our teeth.
They taught us the method in which we should use to clean our teeth morning (after breakfast) and night time (before going to bed). See the poster for the explanation.
