Over the past couple of weeks, we have been exploring with ‘Makey Makey’s’. They are great fun!
When we were first introduced to them we knew NOTHING about what they were or how they worked. Mrs Mahney didn’t give away too many clues. She gave us a range of bizzar ‘materials’ to play with.
We were encouraged to explore each of the different materials. This is what we have been up to!
Last week, a group of approximately 70 year 3-6 children performed in a play called, ‘Pinocchia, Don’t Tell a Lie’ over two nights.
‘Pinocchia – Don’t Tell a Lie’ is a fractured fairytale set in Melbourne. It was written by one of our staff members, Miss Murphy who wrote it with a twist on the classic tale of Pinocchio.
The play consisted of both acting and dancing. The children practiced tirelessly for weeks to ensure they were ‘at their best’.
There were lots of jobs for everyone to be involved in, from auditions, practices, backdrops and prop design and construction, prop management on and off stage, hair and make-up to the supervision of children on the performance nights (just to name a few).
What was your favourite part or scene in the play?
If you were part of the play, what was it that you found most difficult?
If you weren’t involved in the play this year, would you be involved next year? Why/Why not?
